Body Contouring

BodyTiteDenver, CO

Tighten loose skin and reduce fat in one minimally invasive treatment, without the downtime of surgery.

BodyTite RF Body Contouring

If you have stubborn fat and loose skin that diet and exercise have not fixed, but you are not ready for a tummy tuck or an arm lift, BodyTite may be the option that fits. BodyTite is a minimally invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to tighten skin and reduce fat at the same time, through tiny entry points instead of the long incisions surgery requires. It sits between non-invasive skin-tightening devices, which often do too little, and excisional surgery, which is more than some people need. Most patients are back to light activity within a few days.

Dr. Jason Martin was an early adopter of radiofrequency body contouring and lectures to other physicians on the technology. At his Denver practice, BodyTite is one of the tools he uses to give patients a real change with far less recovery than traditional surgery.

The technology

How BodyTite Works

BodyTite uses a technique called radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis, or RFAL. During treatment, Dr. Martin places a thin probe just beneath the skin while a second electrode rests on the surface above it. Radiofrequency energy passes between the two, heating the fat and the underside of the skin in a controlled way. The device monitors temperature in real time, which keeps the treatment both effective and safe.

That heat does two things at once. It liquefies fat so it can be gently removed, and it causes the skin to contract and build new collagen over the following months. This is why BodyTite tightens skin where standard liposuction often cannot, and why the result keeps improving for up to a year after a single treatment.

Your options

BodyTite, Liposuction, or Surgery: Which Is Right for You?

The best body-contouring choice depends on how much loose skin you have along with the fat. Here is how the three main options compare.

Minimally invasive

BodyTite

BodyTite is best for mild to moderate loose skin with localized fat, in someone who wants real tightening without major surgery.

It removes fat and tightens skin in one minimally invasive treatment, with small entry points and a quick recovery. It does less than surgery for very heavy skin excess, so it suits people whose skin still has some elasticity to work with.

Liposuction

Liposuction is best for stubborn fat in someone whose skin still bounces back well on its own.

It removes fat through small cannulas and reshapes the contour beautifully, but it does little for loose skin. When skin laxity is part of the picture, BodyTite or surgery gives a better result.

A Tummy Tuck or Arm Lift

Excisional surgery is best when there is a significant amount of loose, hanging skin.

A full tummy tuck or arm lift removes excess skin directly and tightens the muscle wall where needed. It is the most complete correction for heavy skin excess, with a longer recovery and a longer scar than BodyTite. Dr. Martin will tell you honestly when this is the better choice for your goals.

Treatment areas

Areas BodyTite Can Treat

BodyTite works almost anywhere stubborn fat and mild skin laxity show up together. These are the areas Dr. Martin most commonly treats — and they can often be combined in a single session.

Abdomen & Waist

The most requested area — addresses loose lower-belly skin and stubborn fat that diet and exercise cannot reach.

Arms

Including the loose skin many people call "bat wings" on the inner upper arm.

Inner & Outer Thighs

Reduces fat and tightens lax skin along both the inner and outer thigh.

Knees

Tightens the loose skin above and around the kneecap that can appear with age or weight change.

Flanks

Love handles and the side abdomen — commonly addressed alongside the belly in one session.

Bra Line & Back

Addresses the rolls of fat and loose skin that can appear along the bra line and mid-back.

Male Chest

Reduces the appearance of gynecomastia when excess fat and mild skin laxity are the primary concerns.

Candidacy

Are You a Good Candidate?

You may be a good candidate for BodyTite if you are close to your goal weight, have pockets of stubborn fat with mild to moderate loose skin, and want a meaningful result without the downtime of major surgery. Good general health and realistic expectations matter, as they do for any procedure.

You are likely a good candidate if you:

  • Are close to your goal weight, with a stable lifestyle
  • Have pockets of stubborn fat with mild to moderate loose skin
  • Want a meaningful result without the downtime and scars of surgery
  • Are in good general health and have realistic expectations

BodyTite is honest about its limits, and so are we. It is a contouring and tightening treatment, not a weight-loss tool, so it works best once your weight is stable. If you have a large amount of hanging skin, surgery will give you a better result, and Dr. Martin will say so. If your concern is purely fat with firm, elastic skin, traditional liposuction alone may be all you need.

Dr. Martin's Approach

Dr. Martin has worked with radiofrequency body contouring since its early days, and he lectures to and educates other physicians on these technologies. That experience matters with a temperature-driven treatment like BodyTite, where the result depends on the judgment and technique of the person holding the probe.

The procedure, step by step

What to Expect From the Procedure

BodyTite is usually done in the office under local anesthesia, often with light sedation for comfort. The steps are straightforward:

  1. 01

    The area is numbed,

and a few tiny entry points are made, small enough that they rarely leave a visible mark.

  2. 02

    The probe delivers radiofrequency energy

beneath the skin while the device monitors temperature in real time, treating the fat and tightening the underside of the skin.

  3. 03

    Loosened fat is gently removed

through the same small openings when fat reduction is part of your plan.

  4. 04

    A compression garment is placed

to support the area and help your skin settle into its new shape.

Recovery

Your Recovery

Recovery from BodyTite is much easier than recovery from excisional surgery, which is a large part of its appeal.

  1. The first day or two

Most patients rest at home and manage comfortably; the treated areas feel tender and firm under the garment.

  2. Within a few days

Most patients return to light activity and desk work. The quick recovery is one of BodyTite's main advantages over surgery.

  3. The first few weeks

You will wear a compression garment to support healing and the new contour. Some swelling and bruising are normal early on and settle over the first weeks.

  4. 4 to 12 months

The skin tightening continues gradually as your body builds new collagen. Your final result develops over this window. Dr. Martin gives you specific aftercare instructions for your treatment.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does BodyTite cost in Denver?

BodyTite in Denver generally runs from about $6,000 to $15,000, depending on how many areas you treat and whether liposuction is combined with it. Anesthesia and facility fees are included in your quote. You will get an itemized price for your specific plan at your consultation, along with financing options.

Is BodyTite worth it?

For the right candidate, BodyTite gives a result that non-invasive devices cannot, with far less downtime than surgery. It is worth it when you have stubborn fat with mild to moderate loose skin and want real tightening without a long recovery. It is not the right value if you have heavy skin excess, where surgery does more, or if your skin is already firm, where liposuction alone may be enough.

Does BodyTite really tighten skin?

Yes. The radiofrequency energy heats the underside of the skin in a controlled way, which contracts the existing collagen and prompts your body to build new collagen over the following months. That is what tightens the skin, and it is the main thing that sets BodyTite apart from standard liposuction.

What is better than BodyTite?

It depends on your anatomy. If you have a large amount of loose, hanging skin, a surgical procedure like a tummy tuck or arm lift will give a more complete result. If you have firm, elastic skin and only stubborn fat, liposuction alone may be all you need. BodyTite is the better option in the middle, where you have both fat and mild to moderate laxity.

How many BodyTite treatments will I need?

Most areas need only one BodyTite treatment to see a meaningful result, with the skin tightening continuing for months afterward. Dr. Martin confirms what your specific goals will require at your consultation.

What are the downsides of BodyTite?

BodyTite involves some swelling, bruising, and a compression garment during recovery, and the full skin-tightening result takes several months to develop. It also does less than surgery for significant loose skin. For the right candidate, these trade-offs are minor next to the benefit of avoiding a long surgical recovery.
